About

Thank You For Visiting The Upshift Car Blog!

The goal for this car blog is to provide the best used car information and advice based on my experiences in an approachable, easy to read, and unbiased style. While most of my content will be on used cars, I will also share what I think are new cars that will make great (or not so great) used cars. Feel free to interact with my posts and share your opinion, and let me know what you would like me to write about!

I am a passionate car nut with a large depth of vehicular and industry knowledge. My car hobby started with Hot Wheels when I was a kid, to Go Karts, then finally when I got my license, I got my first car. A 2005 BMW 330ci with the ZHP Performance Package, of course, with a manual transmission. Since then, my garage has grown a bit to include my favorite organic cars including a 2004 BMW M3 and 1973 240Z. Most importantly, is that while my favorite drives include organic early or pre 2000’s era cars, I look at cars differently. I love everything and enjoy seeing change in the industry, in technology, and in the manufacturers, and it is my goal to share this knowledge without bias.

As a side note: many of the new cars I review will be on Kia’s. And that’s because well…I work for them! Kia Motors and parent Hyundai are doing amazing things and it is an honor to be part of their monumental and amazing push in the automobile industry. But please note, the opinions I write are solely my opinions, and are not reflective or representative of my employer, Kia Motors America.
