Thank you OEM’s for Making Green Great Again

Make green great again! And no, I’m not referring to green cars like Priuses or Teslas. I’m talking about the color green. For fans of green cars, like me, we drool over green. They’re a rare breed in today’s sea of epically benign silver and gray crossovers. I remember seeing a British Racing Green Aston Martin at a car show and thinking why is green not on more cars? It’s the most beautiful color. Sumptuous, elegant, yet insanely sporty on cars. Or adventurous, earthy, and cool on SUV’s. I saw potential everywhere. Heck, even on my cars. I’ve always wanted a green e46 but they’re just so insanely rare because few people bought them and few dealers ordered them in green. So, I settled for Mystic Blue, still an uncommon yet gorgeous color.

Regardless, I’m an avid follower of this Instagram called “Make Green Great Again”. It’s an Instagram page that is filled with the most gorgeous green colored automobiles. I wish green would be popular. But, is green making a comeback?? OEM’s have been getting in on green, both for sporty and adventurous appeal. While many car manufacturers have green in the color palette, few have actually gone the distance to make green the launch color, or hero color. The color that gets all the photos, spotlight, and attention. Here are some manufacturer’s who have recently launched their cars in green!

Kia

Kia has launched three cars so far in green…ie: the launch color or hero color that is used for photoshoots is green. The Telluride, Sorento, and the facelifted 2022 Stinger. And my god do they look good in green. Lately, Kia has has been on a roll. Just read my reviews of the Telluride and Sorento. And their color palette’s and choices have been on point for this green car lover!

Below is the Kia Telluride in Dark Moss Green. And can option it with a brown interior. Green over brown on the Telluride is high end luxury and style for the masses.

Kia applied the same treatment to the Sorento, pictured below in Aruba Green. And again you can option it to green over brown leather interior! Two SUV’s that can be had in one of the greatest exterior/interior color combinations to grace the car world!

More recently, Kia launched the refreshed Stinger in Ascot Green! Kia first launched the Stinger in Hi Chroma Red, and while a great color, it doesn’t exude the same type of elegance and sportiness that this green color has. From SUV’s to cars, Kia knows the power of green!

BMW

But let’s not forget about the Europeans. After all, Europe made green cars great. And lately, it is ze germans who are pushing forward with green. BMW launched the M5 CS and M3 variants in green!

Below is the all new, limited edition BMW M5 CS. The most extreme, potent, and fastest version of the M5. And my gawwwwdddd, just look at this! Frozen Deep Green Metallic and finished with bronze wheels. Just the definition of perfection!

And lastly, we cannot forget about one of the most hotly debated vehicles at the time of launch. The all new g80 M3 and M4. With this all new generation, BMW launched these cars in Sao Paula Yellow (the neon yellow) an Isle of Man Green Metallic (dark green).

Audi

Of course, we cannot forget about our friends from Ingolstadt! Audi launched the highly anticipated RS6 Avant in Goodwood Green! Unfortunately, for us here in the states, we won’t get this color. Minus points right there. But hey, hopefully Audi enthusiasts will special order the color so maybe 20 years from now, I can have one in my garage!

Ford

It is usually quite odd to see green in the color palette for American cars where Red, White, and Blue dominate. But Ford is here to save the day!

Ford recently launched the Timberline package for the Ford Explorer. Adding increased off road and adventure prowess to its Explorer model, and what better color than Forged Green Metallic!

And we cannot forget Highland Green. You should know the only car that adorns this famous color is the one and only, Bullitt Mustang. Wearing the Highland Green paint in its latest, special edition variant, the Mustang has never looked better.
